I’m pretty new to the Instagram party, having only started properly using my account almost a year and a half after starting blogging, but it’s probably now my favourite social media platform.
There are so many amazing profiles to follow and so many amazing pictures to stumble across on Instagram, but somehow, I find myself less drawn to the super high quality, professional photographers, and rather to bloggers who focus on sharing personal moments, experiences and thoughts.
Here are some of the gay, vegan and digital nomad Instagram accounts I love the most.
Adam’s is one of the first blogs I started reading way back in 2010, and so once I jumped on Instagram, his account was the very first I followed. I love his unashamed hipsterness and attention to details and appreciation for the little things in life…as well as all the awesome travelling he does too, obviously!
Being a model inside the Oslo Opera House. The interior was just as amazing as the exterior. • Anyway you see those jeans I'm wearing? Those are the jeans I was wearing the night I got arrested for drinking and driving over 6 years ago!!! I thought I'd never fit in them again but while I was home tried them on & OMG fit me perfect so brought them on the road. I feel amazing in them jajajaja!!! Oh & bought a new jacket in Stockholm for $23 (clearance) & omg love it. It's dark blue. My bright blue jacket doesn't fit in over here in Europe lol & sadly was messing up.
Jaime is a prolific Instagrammer, and he has a great eye for design and colour, as reflected by his awesomely composed photos. He has a knack of finding the best street art and he isn’t shy about sharing his personal thoughts and opinions on his Instagram feed, making for great reads as well as great images.
(Cape Town, South Africa) Raw ➕ Roxy, a #raw #vegan gem in Woodstock ? Tried their large raw tapas (lasagne ? creamy zucchini 'pasta' with cheezy kale chips ? red Thai curry ? sweet + sour vegetable ? Asian red Thai cabbage salad ? guacamole ? sushi with cauliflower 'rice' and onion sprouts) ?????✌️ Such an amazing raw feast! Mange tak Raw ➕ Roxy!
Rika and Doni have a skill of finding all the best vegan eats wherever they go and making them look fantastic in photos! Check out their feed for the most mouthwatering and artistic vegan food photos you’ll find anywhere interspersed with the occasional landscape, street art, architecture or cat picture.
If you’re in to yoga, vegan food and bad ass solo female travel, you need to be following Mostly Amelie. She not only posts great photos, but shares intimate little moments from her travels. She’s been rocking it in South East Asia for a while now, but will hopefully coming to Europe soon!
Digital Nomad Instagrammers
Dani is always on the move, flitting from one continent to another. Her Instagram feed is full of quirky little finds, cool street art, artfully composed images as well as the occasional dog or cat she’s housesitting.
Simon and Erin are a truly inspiring digital nomad couple, and if their Instagram feed doesn’t inspire immediate wanderlust in you, you are clearly dead inside. With a penchant for housesitting, slow travel and good vegetarian food, their photos reflect a depth of travel not many other travel bloggers achieve.
