At first we were weary of the tiny Mexican place in Arequipa's old town. It looked kind of dingy and had really loud music blaring from unnecessarily large speakers. Once inside, the music wasn't too loud (the speakers were pointing towards the street) and the food definitely turned out to be worth it.
We shared a generous plate of vegetable chili with rice and a quesadilla as well as a pile of warm corn tacos to be filled with shredded peanut chicken, guacamole and fresh tomato salsa. Between two, this was more than enough, and we left feeling full but not stuffed. And all for S/25 (£5.90), without drinks. Win!
