Monday 1st – Tuesday 2nd April

Preparing the new website design was the main order of the day both days, meaning not much exciting to report. We did of course manage to escape for a few hours each day to a café.

Wednesday 3rd April

A morning of work, followed by an afternoon at MALBA, Buenos Aires' museum of Latin American modern art in Palermo, which Zab enjoyed, but I found all rather impenetrable at best and pretentious at worst. To celebrate my full return to health, we then splurged a little at a café in Palermo Soho and had a long walk home.

Thursday 4th April

The routine of work in the morning and outings in the afternoon seems to be solidifying now that we are in our full swing of things in Buenos Aires (being settled in our apartment, sorted our projects out and me no longer being ill), and this day was no exception.

Friday 5th April

Work, lunch, nap then an outing to the nature reserve in Puerto Madero, a district we're getting more and more familiar with here in Buenos Aires. It was strange walking in what felt like the middle of the countryside, only to have huge, gleaming, silver skyscrapers looming in the background.

Saturday 6th April

Again work, lunch, and a nap which left me feeling worse than before (I'm starting to wonder if they're still doing me good or not), then we went out for a walk to a shop Zab wanted to visit, but was closed. A café was therefore in order before walking home and starting cooking up a feast for a little dinner party. I'd invited over two former students and a plus one, and we had a very pleasant evening chatting over drinks, food, cake (of course) and ice cream.

Sunday 7th April

We got up much later than usual after a late night with my friends and cleaned up the dinner party detritus. After brunch, we went out for a walk across town to Recoleta and then waddled home after eating too much in a slightly posh café. Work was accompanied by left overs from the day before in the evening, and followed by an early night.
