4th-10th November

Monday was all work, though of course we managed to squeeze in a café visit. For more work.

On Tuesday, we tried to visit a modern art museum, but couldn’t find it so ended up in a café, then a former convent, now a museum, that was rather boring. After lunch, we worked all afternoon at home.

Wednesday was more of the same. Work at home in the morning, a café in the afternoon and more work in the evening. Thursday too, though we also wandered into an art gallery where we met the artist and Zab was tempted to buy a piece.

We attempted walking up to one of Cuenca’s miradors on Friday morning, but under the intense sun, quickly realised this was a bad idea and instead hopped in a taxi. The views were quite nice, but the setting was rather spoiled by the tacky tourist shops and cafés blaring loud and awful music. The afternoon was our usual work in a café. In the evening, we went to a screening of a short film from Brazil at the French cultural centre, then a friend came over for dinner.

On Saturday we treated ourselves to brunch to accompany work, and worked solidly through the rest of the day. Sunday wasn't much different, but we went out in the afternoon instead of the morning and ate tapas for dinner.
